In the light of the moon，a little egg lay on a leaf.

One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and—pop!—— out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar.
星期天清晨 温暖的太阳升起——啪！——钻出一条又小又饿的毛毛虫
He started to look for some food.
他开始寻找食物
On Monday he ate through one apple. But he was still hungry.
星期一 他啃穿了一个苹果 可还是好饿
On Tuesday he ate through two pears, but he was still hungry.
星期二 他啃穿了两个梨子 可还是好饿
On Wednesday he ate through three plums, but he was still hungry.
星期三 他啃穿了三个李子 可还是好饿
On Thursday he ate through four strawberries, but he was still hungry.
星期四 他啃穿了四颗草莓 可还是好饿
On Friday he ate through five oranges, but he was still hungry.
星期五 他啃穿了五个橙子 可还是好饿
On Saturday he ate through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice-cream cone, one pickle, one slice of Swiss cheese, one slice of salami,

That night he had a stomachache!
那天晚上 他肚子好痛！
The next day was Sunday again.
第二天又是星期日
The caterpillar ate through
毛毛虫啃穿了
one nice green leaf,
一片鲜嫩的绿叶
and after that he felt much better.
之后感觉舒服多了
Now he wasn''t hungry any more— and he wasn''t a little caterpillar any more.
现在他不再饿了——也不再是那条小毛毛虫了
He was a big, fat caterpillar.
他成了一条又大又胖的毛毛虫
He built a small house called a cocoon, around himself.
他给自己造了间小房子 叫做茧
He stayed inside for more than two weeks.
他在里面待了两周多
Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and......
然后他在茧上咬开一个洞 钻了出来......
he was a beautiful butterfly!
变成了一只美丽的蝴蝶！
